In many underprivileged and developing countries, young girls have never known the joy of wearing a brand-new dress. Sew Creative (Omaha) is hosting a sewing day to make dresses for Dress a Girl Around the World. A new dress not only brightens the day of a young girl, but will also help her look cared for – which can discourage would-be predators. To date, over 500,000 dress have been distributed in 81 countries.
Sew Creative is currently accepting donation of – fabric, double fold bias tape, 1/2 inch elastic and embellishments (buttons, lace, trims, etc.) Donations may be dropped off at either store during regular store hours.
